Whales, Discounts, and Paddles Pals! (Important PMC Updates!)

In Uncategorized by Daniel Kazmaier

Hello PMC Members!

What a wild year it’s been so far—high winds, fires, heavy rain, and plenty of sunny days mixed in. You’ve heard of the “calm before the storm,” but there’s often a calm after, too. Either way, it’s the perfect excuse to hit the water, get a workout in, clear your mind, and connect with our awesome paddle community. All the good stuff!

Our annual whale migration is in full swing now through March—don’t miss it!

I know tons of you joined PMC to max out what stand-up paddling has to offer—fitness, adventure, community, and, for many, the thrill of paddling alongside a whale. It’s a huge motivator, and I get it! That’s why…

There’s no better time than now to turn those paddle dreams into reality.

SUP is an action sport, and paddlers?

You’ve got to be action-oriented too.

I’m here to coach, guide, and cheer you on every step of the way. That’s the whole point of this club—to connect you with paddle buddies and make it happen.

PMC is your tool to bring that #SUPlife to life, and I want to show you how to use the online club to its fullest—it’s built for YOU!

We’re not here to be the biggest outdoor club, but the busiest.

This is for paddlers who hit the water often, because the more you paddle, the better you get.

And if you’re out there racking up sessions, you deserve a little perk.

(Side note: it’s not just about how often you paddle, but the conditions you can handle. Even here in chill SoCal, we’ve got waves, wind, and boat traffic—prime chances to master it all and practice year-round.)

So, next time you’re out and the conditions shift, you’ll be ready to take it on with confidence.

All that said, here’s how it can work for you…

You’re the captain of your SUP life, and I’m here to coach, guide, and hook you up with the right gear when you need it.

First things first:

If you signed up online, you should’ve gotten an activation email. It’s our shield against bots spamming the crew. Since you’re reading this, you’ve likely already nailed that step.

Didn’t get the email? Hit me up, and I’ll resend it. If you’ve logged in and set up your profile—woo-hoo! Welcome to the club!

This part is for members with profiles: the more you share, the easier it is for everyone.

This online club is your hub to connect with paddlers who match your goals, experience, and schedules.

Fill in your prior experience— it helps folks with similar skills team up to hit their targets.

Paddling in anything beyond mellow morning conditions can get tricky for groups to stay tight and buddy up for safety.

At its core, SUP is a skills-based game—the sharper your skills, the more you can tackle.

On group paddles, we move at the slowest paddler’s pace and might even turn back if someone’s struggling. That’s both a strength and a challenge.

Want to crush sunset paddles, power workouts, or ocean sessions?

You’ll need to keep up with the crew.

So, hone those skills and practice when you can.

We paddle in a playground of busy boat traffic, wind, and powerful waves—it’s a gift!

Completing:

  • Lesson 1 – Intro to SUP and Marina Maneuvers
  • Lesson 2 – Wind and Workout Techniques
  • Lesson 3 – Intro to Ocean and Beach Launch

Unlocks the know-how for meaningful practice and epic memories!

Note: Nothing wrong with paddling in the marina in the morning and keeping it mellow -all good! Just share that info when interacting with other group members so everyone can have the experience they are looking for.

How to Find People to Paddle With

The big win with this online club is connecting with others to plan group paddles—everyone scores a volume discount!

Picture this: a 90-minute private weekend lesson is $150 solo, but book a group lesson for 5 or 6, and it’s just $65 per person.

Know 6 people free to paddle when you are?

Anyone can lock that in at paddlemethod.com anytime.

Now that you’re in this crew, you can find 5 paddlers with matching schedules, book together, and all enjoy the discount—plus make new friends!

You could even go skiing as a group and fill me in later.

This is a social spot, so as long as everyone’s cool and keeps it positive, you might just meet 150 new active buddies who love cool stuff too – all just a click away!

Now, if you’re a paid member ($49/year), you get 10% off every paddle lesson, rental, or tour immediately…private lessons and tours included.

Hit up our social paddles (Morning Social, Afternoon Social, Friday Night Sunset Paddle), and after your first go, it’s 20% off.

Join weekly, and you’re at 30% off…cheaper than a board rental!

The Sunset Paddle’s $55, but with up to 30% off, it’s an awesome weekly water workout.

So, if you’re eady to level up your SUP game…

Join as a paid member for just $49/year and unlock instant discounts—10% off every lesson, rental, or tour, plus up to 50% off with frequent group paddles!

Click here to upgrade now: PMC Club Premium – paddle more, save more!

Want a different day or time? Let me know and we’ll toss it in the group chat and see who’s in.

Only takes three paddlers to make a sunset paddle happen any day!

By the way, this works for rental groups too…join weekly as a paid PMC member at the same time, and snag 30% off your rentals!

Quick Recap:

  • Sign up and fill out your profile with as much detail as you can.
  • Find PMC members online with similar goals, skills, and schedules.
  • Use the forums to plan what, when, and where you want to paddle.
  • Book your lesson, tour, or rental at paddlemethod.com like usual.
  • Paid members score discounts! Get up to 50% off bookings based on how often you paddle and your group size.

Any questions? Hit me up.

Want something new or improved in the club? Just reply to this email. I’d love to hear it!

Plus, keep an eye out for more exciting info coming soon! (I didn’t want to swamp you right out of the gate).

Quick tip: Use the group chat to toss out paddle outing ideas, then hammer out scheduling details in the forums (so we don’t spam everyone about that random Tuesday 3am paddle!).

And most important: book ahead of time so I can have the gear ready and meet you… unless you’re off skiing instead. P.S. I’m totally down for a ski trip too…anyone else in?

Let’s hit the water!

Tim

P.S. Not feeling the paddle vibe? Can’t make it regularly in the PMC? No worries! We’d rather have a lean, mean crew of active paddlers than paddlers just floating by.

If this group isn’t your thing or you can’t paddle regularly, hit reply to this email to unsubscribe. I only ask for two things:

1. Let me know why you want to unsubscribe.

2. Let me know how I can improve the PMC!

We’ll keep the stoke high with the crew who’s all in!
